The purpose of this bid is to secure the services of an experienced firm to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, transportation, fuel, power, water, providing environmental protection, and performing all operations in connection with the Gulf Cove Waterway System channel dredging as indicated in the Plans and Technical Specifications. The project is located along the southern bank of the Myakka River, west of State Road 776, and extends from Anderson Waterway to Early Waterway. The design depth is -5.2 feet NAVD (-4.0 feet MLW) with a typical width of 40 feet as shown on the Contract Plans.
After review and evaluation, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Brance Diversified, Inc. of Jacksonville, Florida in the amount of $542,708.83
Completion time is 180 calendar days, as revised by Addendum #1, with Liquidated Damages of $1,532 per calendar day.
